Biography, Degrees and Certifications:

Dr. Juan Michelle Martin, PT, DPT is a licensed physical therapist of 15 years and sex counselor, along with being the owner of JMM Health Solutions in Duluth, GA specializing in pelvic, perinatal, and sexual health. She specializes in working with clients with pelvic pain and complex pelvic floor related issues, especially those surrounding sexual function and sees clients for sex and intimacy coaching as well both individually and couples.
She is a graduate of New York Institute of Technology’s Doctor of Physical Therapy program along with a graduate of University of Michigan’s post-graduate sexuality counselor program.

Dr. Martin has been featured in several articles, podcasts, and publications and has recently become an international best-selling author as a contributing author to the book “Your Life Is Worth It” where she discusses intimacy and sexual function. Additionally, she is a member of several national organizations for women’s health including ISSWSH (International Society for the Study of Women’s Sexual Health), ISSM (International Society of Sexual Medicine), IPPS (International Pelvic Pain Society), and IUGA (International Urogynecological Association). Dr. Martin is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and the APTA’s Academy of Pelvic Health where she functions as a member of the obstetrics committee and participates in teaching continuing ed courses and labs.

Dr. Martin is a mother of 3 and enjoys family time and sports.

Professional Philosophy:

I believe in a holistic approach to sex and sexuality. There is usually always more than the presenting concern and my goal is to guide clients, whether individually or as a couple to a richer understanding of themselves and their sexuality so that they can obtain the experience they seek.
